Deborah C. Faust received her undergraduate degree summa cum laude in 1973 from the University of New Orleans and her law degree magna cum laude in 1977 from Loyola University of New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review.

 

After receiving her law degree, Ms. Faust served as law clerk to Associate Justice Walter F. Marcus, Jr. of the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana.  After completing her judicial clerkship in 1978, she joined the firm of Lemle & Kelleher, L.L.P., where she was a partner specializing in estate planning and trust and estate administration until April 2003 at which time she established a solo law practice in Metairie.

 

Ms. Faust is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and was formerly the Chair of the Louisiana State Bar Committee on Trusts, Estates, Probate and Immovable Property.  She is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and has been recognized by inclusion in Super Lawyers, New Orleans Magazine Top Lawyers, and 2017 AV Preeminent Attorney.  Ms. Faust co-authored a monthly column on estate planning for Mature Times Magazine, and she is a frequent lecturer on the subjects of estate planning and trust and estate administration.

 

Ms. Faust is a partner in the firm of Perez, McDaniel, Faust & Adams, L.L.P., and practices in its Metairie, Louisiana office.
